Pulau Muara Besar Bridge, Road and Utilities Project in Brunei Wins BCA Green Mark Infrastructure Award

Pulau Muara Besar Bridge, Road and Utilities Project in Brunei constructed by CHEC recently won the “BCA Green Mark Infrastructure Award”. The award ceremony took place from September 3 to 6 during the International Built Environment Week sponsored by the Building & Construction Authority of Singapore. The ceremony saw the presence of representatives of CHEC Singapore Company.
The Green Mark Scheme was jointly launched by the Building & Construction Authority and National Environment Agency of Singapore. It seeks to promote the development of green buildings and reduce the impact on the environment by incorporating the concept of sustainable development into the planning, design and construction of new buildings. The evaluation indexes of green mark certification include energy efficiency, water saving, environmental protection, environmental management practice and other green features and innovations.
Pulau Muara Besar Bridge is the first cross-sea bridge in Brunei. This award indicates that CHEC attaches great importance to the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection in the design and construction process and that the measures and results adopted by CHEC have been recognized internationally, which helps to create a good built environment.
